Rosenfeld Media announced a new conference, Advancing Service Design, with Harmonic Design founder Patrick Quattlebaum and Livework founder Ben Reason. Patrick and Ben will curate the inaugural event, which will be held virtually from December 3 to 4, 2024.
Patrick and Ben are veteran service designers and co-authors of Rosenfeld Media books Orchestrating Experiences and Service Design: From Insight to Implementation, respectively. The idea for the event emerged from their conversations about the trajectory of service design as a practice and the need to push the discipline’s boundaries to create a more significant impact within organizations and systemic challenges across public and private domains.
The two approached Rosenfield Media to support the effort. The result: a conference that will bring together various perspectives from within and outside of service design, including eight case studies from new voices that will inspire and provoke. Participants of the two-day curated event will learn how service design can:
- Integrate with and support other practices—like product management, continuous improvement, strategy, and change management—within an organization
- Engage with wider systems that go beyond individual organizations to make an impact in such complex areas as healthcare, the green transition, or advanced technologies.
📅 Conference Dates: December 3-4, 2024 (Virtual)
