This 10-week program for up-and-coming service designers will provide an opportunity to work with a team of designers, interact with clients, receive mentorship, and gain hands-on experience in the field of service design.

Yes! We welcome applicants from other professional fields or academic majors who have a strong interest in the field of service design but no prior experience. If this describes you, please express your interest in the field through your application and show us how your unique perspective will influence your approach to design. Harmonicas come from a background in non-profits, film and television, museums, industrial design, the zoo, street art, user experience, and more, so we welcome those with unique backgrounds!

In addition to working hard and making an impact on that team, you can expect to have fun learning new tools, techniques, and methodologies alongside some of the very talented designers at Harmonic. Come with a learning mindset and expect to be surprised.

No, but you must be North America-based. This position is in North America – remote eligible. The role may include occasional work at our Atlanta studio or client locations.

We review applications on a rolling basis, looking for key skills. High-scoring applicants will be contacted.

Stage 1: Phone Screen If selected, we’ll schedule a call to learn more about you, your background, and your interest in Harmonic. Be ready to share your skills, hobbies, and goals for the internship.

Stage 2: Portfolio Interview Top candidates will have a portfolio review with one of our team members. Share your project stories, showcasing your service design thinking.

Stage 3: Final Interview The final stage is a virtual meet-and-greet with Harmonic Design leadership.
