At Harmonic Design, we support the growth of the service design field by offering summer internships to students and talented professionals who bring design into strategy and look at experiences across channels.
This 10-week program will provide an opportunity to work with a team of designers, interact with clients, receive mentorship, and gain hands-on experience in service design.

We review applications on a rolling basis, looking for key skills. Applicants will be contacted as decisions are made.
Step 1: Phone Screen
If selected after application review, we’ll schedule a call to learn more about you, your background, and your interest in Harmonic. This is where we like to hear about your skills, hobbies, and goals for the internship.
Step 2: Portfolio Interview
Candidates will review one to two projects with a Harmonic service designer. Share your project stories, showcasing your service design and other relevant skills.
Step 3: Final Interview
The final step is a conversation with Harmonic leadership.
No, but you must be U.S.-based. This position is remote eligible in the U.S. The role may include occasional work or gatherings at our Atlanta studio or client locations.
Yes! We welcome applicants from other professional fields or academic majors who have a strong interest in the field of service design but no prior experience.

Harmonicas come from a background in non-profits, film and television, museums, industrial design, the zoo, street art, user experience, and more, so we welcome those with unique backgrounds!
The project you’ll work on will be decided closer to the internship start date, depending on our current initiatives. Past intern projects have spanned insurance, telecommunications, banking, and retail industries. Alongside client-focused work, you’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate on internal initiatives that align with your interests.
