Before Harmonic Design, Laura worked as a UX engineer, researcher, and developer in Colombia. She earned her MFA in Service Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design and has a Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Engineering from Universidad Militar Nueva Granada in Bogota, Colombia. A multidisciplinary designer, she thrives in collaborative environments, always seeking alignment and cohesive design solutions. Passionate about multisensory design, she aims to create experiences that are not only functional but also memorable and meaningful. Laura utilizes data analysis and prototyping to ensure feasibility in her service design practice, constantly exploring new methodologies to enhance the design process.
Raised in Colombia’s coffee region, Laura developed a deep appreciation for nature, adaptability, and resourcefulness.
In addition to her service design work at Harmonic, Laura is a dedicated crafter and avid jigsaw puzzle enthusiast. In her spare time, she enjoys immersing herself in nature and has a passion for black-and-white photography, eagerly learning to develop film pictures.
