Matias believes in the power of design research and its ability to inform impactful designs that improve people’s well-being.
He enjoys interpreting the invisible and systemic nature of services through multiple types of communication. Matias believes that storytelling and society go hand in hand—without one the other would not be possible. He is a lifelong student of this ever-evolving relationship. As a service designer, Matias always pushes the boundaries on how to design new forms of storytelling that inherently create value for all participating actors. Whether it is early in the project during the research phase, or later on when it is time to craft how to operationalize a new vision, storytelling is at the core of his practice. Matias’ past work includes experience in retail, technology, non-profits, and hospitality. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Service Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
